The State Bank of India Officers’ Association (Karnataka) is a Trade Union
of Officers working in State Bank of India, Bangalore Circle having 3300
Established in 1980, the Association is registered under Indian Trade Union
Act 1926. It is recognised as the sole bargaining body for Officers in State
Bank of India, Bangalore Circle. The headquarters of the Association is
at Bangalore with its Module Offices at Bangalore and Hubli.
State Bank of India Officers’ Association (Karnataka) is affiliated to All India
State Bank Officers’ Federation (AISBOF) which is affiliated to All India
Bank Officers’ Confederation (AIBOC).
SBI Officers’ Association Educational Trust- As a part of Social Service Activities, we have also taken-up number of other Welfare Activities.The Officers’ services are subject to frequent transfers. Transfer is a burden on the Officers’ Community especially considering the huge amount they are required to spend on admissions to the school. To mitigate this hardship, the State Bank of India Officers’ Association (Karnataka) has made a beginning by opening English & Kannada Medium Schools at Bangalore on 28.05.1990 and at Hubli on 05.06.1991. It is first of its kind in our State where a Trade Union has embarked upon the task of building an efficient educational institution which can provide good standard of education to the wards of our members and the locality wherever it isestablished. Both the schools are imparting education from Pre-Nursery to Higher Secondary and they are functioning from our own premises. The Education Society is owning a Civic Amenity Site measuring 24,925 Sq.Mtrs. allotted by Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) at Srigandhada Kavalu, Magadi Road, Bangalore.The members are emotionally and financially supporting the Education Society. Members are requested to donate liberally to the noble cause. Donations are exempted from Income Tax under Section 80-G.
With strong pillars of diversified activities,our Association has during the past 32 years acquired a status & strength appreciated even by the pioneers of Officers’ movement. It is the responsibility of the members of this great Organisation to preserve, nurture &further strengthen it.Active involvement of every member in the Association’s activity is necessary.
